Former Chief Secretary Mohan Kanda's book released
A book by former Chief Secretary Mohan Kanda titled ‘A Century of Credit Cooperatives in India-An Anthology’ was released by Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy.
Mr. Reddy termed the book an archive of the history of cooperatives with facts and figures and the narrative, interspersed with illustrations and stories, made it an interesting and comprehensive treatise on the subject. He said it was a valuable evaluation of cooperatives.
Mr. Kanda has devoted many years to the understanding of the cooperative movement and the agriculture sector at the State and national-levels, heading crucial departments.
He was Registrar and Commissioner, Cooperative Department and Secretary, Agriculture and Cooperation, when the Single Window System in cooperative societies was introduced.
Others present on the occasion were Ministers K. Krishna Reddy (Cooperation), P. Viswaroop (Animal Husbandry & Fisheries) and Special Chief Secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao.
