Vijayawada: Seeking to promote Japanese investments in Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday said that dedicated industrial townships and clusters for Japanese are planned to be set up in the state.

Addressing a seminar on 'Expanding Technology Cooperation for Smart Community in Andhra Pradesh,' here, he said India and Japan are natural allies today for business and also investments.

"Make Andhra Pradesh as a destiny for Japanese investments, build another Tokyo in new capital region (of AP)...there you have so many opportunities. I want to do business most efficiently and for that I am assuring you on ease of doing business through speedier clearances, infrastructure and good governance, transparent government," Naidu said.

"I am doing focus on Japan only...the reason is simple. We need investment. India is growing very fast. Japan has technology and huge capital," he said.

"You may have seen experience in China and other countries. India has democracy and large land and India is moving very fast towards double digit growth rate," Naidu said.

"We are establishing land bank for 10 lakh acres of land, 24X7 power, abundant water for industry, and world-class infrastructure, roads and ports in the state and committed to create industrial infrastructure," Naidu said.

"We are preparing time bound programme for each sector and every project," he said, adding, all clearances will be given in 21 days for industries and for mega projects it will be given after one to one discussion.

"There will be total cooperation. Our people are happy seeing Japanese investments. Once you start the project I will be after you till the project is completed. I am asking you to come forward, ultimately to attract investments and we are prepared to work with you," Naidu said.

"We won't disappoint you. I am assuring you on my and my team's commitment. AP is strategically positioned to attract foreign investment and to leverage advantages. AP government is undertaking multiple forward looking initiatives to facilitate investments."
