Mayank Gandhi is not the only one to challenge AAP's decision to remove senior members Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan from the Political Affairs Committee (PAC). With each passing day, the list of AAP supporters and office bearers raising a voice against the move is getting bigger.

The latest to join the campaign are the party's volunteers who have initiated an online campaign to garner support for a petition titled: AAP Volunteers Seek Proof Against Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan Because Of Which They Have Been Expelled From The PAC.

The petition was created hours after the decision by AAP's national executive to remove the duo on Wednesday and more than 2,000 people signed it within 24 hours.

"AAP is not made by people in PAC or Arvind Kejriwal. It is the result of the toughest exams given by its volunteers who didn't give up even when everyone lost hope after Lok Sabha election," the petition put on change.org states. It adds: "...I think it is the responsibility of PAC members and, more importantly, Kejriwal to release those documents, videos, audios or anything which prove that the step taken by PAC is right."

The volunteers are seeking support of 10,000 supporters for the petition. "I am signing (this petition) because AAP has been made by volunteers, not PAC only. We are the ones who face the general public every minute, every second. We want proof else take Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav back in PAC," writes Akash Uchani, one of the signees.

Volunteers had earlier launched '#UnitedAAP' campaign. "Removing @AapYogendra or Prashant Bhushan from PAC can't solve the problem of AAP. It will create more problems. #UnitedAAP," tweeted one Sitansu Shekhar.
