Opposition YSR Congress members repeatedly stormed the podium and disrupted the Question Hour while seeking a debate on waiver of loans taken by DWACRA women leading to the adjournment of Andhra Pradesh Assembly thrice on Tuesday.

Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao announced that he was disallowing an adjournment motion tabled by the YSR Congress Party on DWACRA women loan waiver.

Opposition members surrounded the Speaker’s podium and raised slogans demanding the chair to allow a debate. With the members not yielding to the appeals made by the Speaker, the House was adjourned.

Once the House re-assembled, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was allowed to speak where he spoke about the outstanding loans of Rs.14, 204 crore for DAWCRA women when Mr. Chandrababu Naidu became Chief Minister and loans were renewes upto Rs. 1,000 crore. Even as TDP members protested, YS Jagan said that 14 per cent interest was being charged on the outstanding amount.

As the Speaker disallowed YS Jagan on the ground that there could not be a debate on the issue after the adjournment motion was rejected, the YSR Congress members repeatedly stormed the podium demanding the chair to allow the discussion. These repeated attempts lead to the adjournment of the House three times.
