Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will lay the foundation stone for Patti Seema Lift Irrigation Project on March 28. Irrigation department officials of West Godavari district  are making arrangements for the foundation laying ceremony on a war footing basis.

Chandrababu is originally scheduled to carry Pattu Vastralu to Lord Srirama temple at Ontimitta in Kadapa district on March 28 on the eve of Srirama Navami festival but on the advice of the Vedic priests , he has decided not to visit the temple since he would be under the banned phase of 'Puriti Maila' then.

Alternately, Deputy Chief Minister China Rajappa would carry the Pattu Vastralu to the Lord on the festival day.
