Hyderabad: Expressing serious concern over display of banners and cut outs of political leaders and celebrities in public places, the Hyderabad High Court on Friday directed the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana governments to take immediate steps to remove them.

The High Court has ordered the government to instruct all the collectors and commissioners of corporations and municipalities in both the states to launch a drive for its removal.

The Court also asked the government to submit a report, explaining the steps being taken for removal of all unauthorized hoardings, boards, flexes and banners.
