The "Most Wanted" Red Sanders smuggler Kollam Gangi Reddy was caught on Monday. Gangi Reddy was on his way from Mauritius to Sri Lanka and he was nabbed by police at Mauritius airport. He is prime accused in an attack against CM Chandrababu Naidu.

On March 4 last year, the police had seized 2000 logs of Red Sanders worth Rs 5 crore in a godown near Veldurthi town of Kurnool and had named Gangi Reddy as an accused. He was arrested on April 4, remanded to judicial custody and released on bail on May 16. He jumped the bail and has been absconding since then. It's reported that Gangi Reddy has feared that police would target him since Chandrababu is back in saddle after nine years and suspected to have fled the country.

Allegedly, Gangi Reddy helped Naxals in carrying out the claymore mine attack on Mr Chandrababu Naidu in 2003 when then CM Mr Naidu was on his way to Tirumala. Gangi Reddy is native of Vathuluru in Pullampeta Mandal of Kadapa.
