Obama chopper parts made at Adibatla in Hyderabad

The spare parts for the chopper used by US President Barack Obama were manufactured in Hyderabad, said the US Ambassador in India Richard Varma.

It may be noted that the Tata aerospace unit  at the Adibatla SEZ is making spare parts for the Sikorsky choppers used by the US President's special fleet of choppers.

The Indian diplomat who called on Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at the Secretariat said that youth from Telangana were working in many IT companies and also studying at Universities in US. "In recognition of the technological advances made in Hyderabad, many American companies are keen to invest here," he said.

Highlighting the importance attached by the US to Telangana and Hyderabad he said, the city hosted  one of the four consulates established in India by the US government. "Hyderabad has been centre of huge investments made by US companies in India," he said.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao said on the occasion that Hyderabad and Telangana were on a massive development platform and in spite of power shortage far reaching programs and projects had been unveiled to meet the challenges of industrial growth, healthcare, green environment and also safe drinking water.
