The decision on Telangana will be announced either on January 24 or 27?
The Seemandhra leaders 'Stall Telangana' mission appears to have met with little success as Union Home Minister S K Shinde did not give them any firm assurance on the matter.
During their meeting with Shinde on Monday evening, Shinde said that he never promised Telangana and at the same did not reject any such demand. He even reportedly questioned them that when the party has promised separate state in its election manifesto, how can it backtrack on the same.
However, the Seemandhra leaders said that no such assurance was given and handed a copy of the manifesto to him. After the meeting, they claimed that Shinde did not speak against their demand and theh meeting gave an impression that the state would remain united. In all probability, the decision on Telangana will be announced either on January 24 or 27, one of the leaders said later.
