AP Congress Leaders staged a dharna in Anantapur demanding Special Category Status to the state and sanction of Rs 10,000 crore for Polavaram project. The protest was led by AP PCC Chief Raghuveera Reddy, Former Ministers Botsa Satyanarayana and Ramnarayana Reddy.

Botsa Satyanarayana warned TDP & NDA Governments that agitation will be intensified if injustice was done to AP. "Its our responsibility to mount pressure on the State and Central Governments to fulfill all the provisions of AP Reorganisation Bill. The future generations will pay the price if the party in power go back on the promises," he says.

Claiming that UPA Government has assured allocations worth Rs 5 lakh crores to AP at the time of bifurcation, Raghuveera Reddy demands TDP & BJP who promised to do better than Congress to at least fulfill all the promises of AP Reorganisation Bill.
