Actor Kranthi, who made an impressive debut with ‘Mallela Theeramlo’, says that his character in his ‘Vaaradhi’, his next, will have a few shades of grey. “My role is in complete contrast to what I’ve played in my first film. I play a guy who enjoys others’ suffering. I am called a psycho at my office,” he says, adding, “How my view towards the society takes a radical change after falling in love is the premise of the story.”
The actor has teamed up with his ‘Mallela Theeramlo’ co-star Sri Divya for the film. “The film commenced in last February but as Sri Divya had Tamil commitments to fulfill, it got delayed. We’ve shot in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam,” he says.
Directed by Satish Karthikeya, it is a triangular love story. “It is somewhat inspired by the Hollywood film ‘The Ghost’. Sri Divya is a Good Samaritan, who falls in love with a character played by Hemanth, but he passes away and takes the form of a spirit.”
“Though it sounds as a complex subject at the outset, it’s dealt in an entertaining way,” he insists.
