Madhuurima has been roped in to play the lead in an upcoming Hindi film starring Tanuj Virwani. The actress will be playing a housewife in the film which also features Bollywood siren Sunny Leone.

Jasmine D’Souza – wife of filmmaker Anthony D’Souza – is directing the film that is based on a tale of two women whose lines cross due to a quirk of fate. “It’s a very glamorous role, but it has a lot of substance as well. The filmmakers saw a couple of her films and felt she would suit the role. Madhuurima liked the film’s script and gave her nod,” shares a source close to the actress. Daggubati Rana was also supposed to be part of the project, but opted out recently.

The actress chose to neither confirm nor deny the news about this development when contacted. “It was great to share the screen with NTR in my upcoming Telugu film Temper. It’s a small but pivotal role that sort of changes the course of the protagonist’s character graph,” said Madhuurima, who is close to wrap up another Hindi production, Ishq Ne Crazy Kiya Re. Talking about her role, Madhuurima said, “I play a young girl who moves to Agra and falls in love with an aspiring singer. How I help him achieve success in life even as it takes interesting twists and turns is the crux of the story.”

With three more projects in South — one Malayalam and two Tamil films including one in which she’s paired with Vishal, the actress seems to have her kitty full with films in different industries.
