July 10th is approaching fast and we have Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali making all the hell of a noise. Whole of India is looking forward for this flick which would became a new face of Indian cinema for the budget involved and the kind of star-casting it has.
Coming to Baahubali’s Telugu version, trade circuits have revealed that the film needs to collect around 83 crores of investment. Some unconfirmed figures indicated that the film got sold out in Nizam area for 22.5 crores, while Ceeded distributors poured around 12.6 crores to own the flick. On a whole, AP and Telangana distributors invested nearly 65.35 crores for Baahubali theatrical distribution rights. Karnataka rights fetched 8.6 crores while in overseas 9 crores were shelled for the rights.
83 crores is the final figure distributors have invested to own Baahubali distribution rights for Telugu version. Surely the film needs manage at least 115 crores of gross collections from box office such that it could amass 83+ crores of share. A hefty task indeed.
