Telugu film "Chandamama Kathalu", which is directed by Praveen Sattaru and has eight sub-stories in the movie to tell, has now won National Award for Best Telugu film.
All these days we don't even have a film to be sent to National Film Awards Committee, but Telugu films are surely changing now.
Released last year, the film has stories of a struggling writer, a fallen model, an aged couple, a greedy Muslim girl, a municipal worker, a beggar and others. The film looks little slow at times but deals with life and the point where all stories converge into a single theme is superb. Praveen Sattaru deserves a pat for the win.
Prominent roles in the flick are essayed by Lakshmi Manchu, Aamani, Naresh, Krishnudu, Chaitanya Krishna, Abhijeet, Naga Shourya, Vennela Kishore, Amitha Rao and Richa Panai play the lead roles. Mickey J Meyer composed the music for this spine chilling life-story.
