Tollywood Comments
Tollywood's most expensive and one of India's costliest films SS Rajamouli's Baahubali has already completed the distribution formalities for most of the areas. Hotshot filmmaker Karan Johar will be releasing the film's Hindi version across India. On the other hand, popular Tamil producer and distributor and producer, KE Gnanavel Raja was supposed to release the film in Tamil along with UV Creations.
However, there has been a change of hands in the film's Tamil distribution. As per the latest update, Baahubali's Tamil version will now be released by Sri Thenandal Films, yet another popular distribution house. The reason for this sudden change is that Gnanavel Raja's Studio Green will be occupied with the release of music director GV Prakash Kumar's Trisha Illana Nayanthara in July.
Earlier, Baahubali was supposed to release worldwide in May. However, delay in the post-production work resulted in pushing Studio Green in a tight spot since they already acquired Trisha Illana Nayanthara's distribution rights and they did not want to have a clash. But the Tamil version's overseas rights have been retained by Studio Green and UV Creations, sensing the huge craze for the film all over the world.
