Dubbing Films To Get Expensive?

15th June, 2015 12:35pm     Tollywood      Comments
The Telugu Film Producers Council (TFPC) has once again appealed to the Replica Rolex Datejust governments of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to double the entertainment tax being levied on the dubbing films of other languages. Currently, the Telugu states are collecting an entertainment tax of just 20 per cent from the dubbed versions, resulting in a huge loss to the government's treasure.

The General Secretary of TFPC in its representation to the governments said that the number of dubbed films should be cut down to facilitate more number of theaters for Telugu films. the council also gave an example of Suriya's Rakshasudu, which was released in more than Replica Rolex Cellini 500 screens in Telugu giving a tough competition to Ram's Pandaga Chesko.

Apparently, the state governments have been earning a mere 16.5 per cent on each ticket sold at the box-office and that the less taxation of just 20% must be doubled just like the neighboring states like Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, where the tax rates are as Replica Breitling Aeromarine high as 30% and 40-50% respectively. The council also hoped that this increase will help in Telugu films getting more number of screens during their release.
