Dum Laga Ke Haisha Movie Review, Dum Laga Ke Haisha Review, Dum Laga Ke Haisha Movie Review and Rating, Dum Laga Ke Haisha Public Talk, Ayushmann Khurrana Dum Laga Ke Haisha Review
Cast: Ayushmann Khurrana, Sanjay Mishra, Bhumi Pednekar, Vidushi Mehra
Director: Sharat Katariya
Production company: Yash Raj Films
Music composed by: Anu Malik, Andrea Guerra
Story:
The story revolves around Sandhya Verma (Bhumi Pednekar), and Prem Prakash Tiwari (Ayushmann Khurrana). Sanhhya is an influential school teacher in Haridwar but is upset with her excessive weight of 85 kgs. Prem Prakash Tiwari is huge Kumar Sanu fan and runs an audio cassette shop. The one person he is afraid of is his father (Sanjay Mishra) who assumes him as ‘good for nothing’.
Circumstances or rather say a promise that his parents had made to a friend years ago force Prem to get hitched to extra large Sandhya. As expected he is clearly embarrassed of her and with no solution but to continue his marital life, Prem keeps a safe distance from Sandhya.
The innocent Sandhya however, is trying hard to make her husband happy but Prem is least pleased by all her attempts. The irritation between this unusual pair wasn’t enough that now Prem’s mother asks him to participate in a race competition with his wife. However, he once again surrenders to his family’s adamant wish, but this time he doesn’t disappoint them.
So, will he prove his family what he is capable of? And will Prem and Sandhya find true love together through this competition? Find out all in Dum Laga Ke Haisha.
Performances:
Ayushmann Khurrana badly needs this movie to be a hit since his previous once managed to fail big time at Box office. This drive has led to give an awesome believable performance in the movie. Newcomer Bhumi Pednekar has given a spectacular performance and considering this is her debut, she is going to shine in Bollywood. Sanjay Mishra who will be seen as Ayushmann's father in the movie has also given a hilarious performance.
Technical Aspects:
Dum Laga Ke Haisha will see the return of Anu Malik, while the songs are not in line with today's trend, they are typical Kumar Sanu songs which is what the movie demands it to me. The director whose previous attempt at directing a film went unnoticed has given us a good laugh riot with this movie. His direction is simple, clean and apt.
Verdict:
Dum Laga Ke Haisha may not be that hyped but the film is worth the watch for it is a laugh riot with a message that says love comes in all sizes. I recommend a theatre watch so book your tickets soon people!
