TV actor Gautam Gulati took the Bigg Boss trophy and Rs.50 lakh cash prize home after winning the season 8 of celebrity reality show Bigg Boss.

Karishma Tanna was announced second runner up with Preetam Singh taking the third spot. Dimpy Ganguly and Ali Quli Mirza were ousted a day before the grand finale.

The results were as per the rumours doing rounds on social media. Twitter handles BiggBossNews and BiggBossLiveNews declared Gautam Gulati as the winner of the eight season of the much talked about celebrity reality show, late Friday night.

Adding twist to the finale, Bigg Boss offered Rs.25 lakh to all the three finalists  for walking out of the competition. While, Gautam and Karishma refused the offer, Preetam decided to take the cash and quit the race. Preetam Singh was the second most popular contestant on the show till December end but lost out his spot to Karishma following his fights with Gautam.

Meanwhile, the star-studded grand finale witnessed a sizzlign perfomance by Malaika Arora Khan. Dabangg actress Sonakshi Sinha also performed on the show.

Then was Rohit Shetty's turn to introduce his show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi season 6, which will replace Bigg Boss on weekend nights.

Khatron Ke Khiladi contestants Ashish Chowdhury, Sana Khan and Hussain Kuwajerwala gave a rocking performance for the night which ended with Gautam lifting the trophy.
