Representatives of a travels company kidnapped the production manager and cashier of the Balakrishna-starrer 'Lion' from the Ramoji Film city this morning.

However, police chased them and rescued the kidnapped persons at a traffic junction at Hayat Nagar.

Police later said SLV production company , producing the movie 'Lion, hired two vehicles of Phana Travels last week.

Unfortunately, these two vehicles were involved in an accident. The travel company representatives visited the office of the production house and demanded the producers to get the vehicles repaired and payment of vehicle rent till the vehicles are handed over to the in good condition.

The producers agreed to do so but hired cars of another travel company for the shooting purpose.

On learning this, the representatives of the Phana travels visited the Ramoji Film city where the shooting was in progress and kidnapped the production manager and cashier of the movie and driver of the another travel company and took them in their vehicle.

On receiving information, police and some other drivers of another travel company had chased the kidnappers in vehicles and ultimately intercepted them at a traffic junction. The kidnapped were rescued.

The police registered a case and arrested the kidnappers.
