Unlike many actors, Sharwanand prefers to stay away from Film Nagar and instead lives in a penthouse at Vengalarao Nagar.
“My parents have been living here for a long time and I have been brought up here. I am happy here,” says Sharwanand, who continues to live with his parents. Coming to his film, Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju, he says, “This one is going to be one of the best films in my career. It’s a romantic love story. Nithya is playing a Muslim girl and I play a Hindu,” he says.
The actor broke the jinx last year with Run Raja Run and proved that he could be successful in commercial films too. “Now I don’t want to follow the same path again. Now, I am always looking for different subjects,” says the actor.
Most of the film was shot in Vizag. “We completed our film just before the city was hit by Hudhud. It’s very sad, but people will have a chance to see how beautiful the city was before the cyclone,” he says.
About his future projects, the actor says that he has given a green signal to director Gandhi’s subject. “The details of the film will be announced soon,” he says, adding that currently he is not doing any Tamil films.
Sharwanand, who had earlier produced a film, says that he does not want to go down that path in the near future. “I am, however, coming up with a film based on my friend’s life.
But it may take a few years to make,” he says, adding, “He passed away recently and I am making a film on his life’s struggle. I am playing him and I am giving 10 days a year for shooting this film, only 10 per cent is done.”
