Working with a seasoned director like Kundan Shah in her maiden Bollywood flick was a wonderful opportunity for Meenakshi Dixit who was last seen as a shooter in ‘Adavi Kaachina Vennela’.  “What I learnt while working on this film, I will cherish for a lifetime,” says the actress who is playing the lead in the director’s ‘P Se PM Tak’.

The 26-year-old will be seen essaying a prostitute in the film. “It will be the journey of a sex worker who eventually becomes the Prime Minister for four days,” she informs. “I did a lot of homework for the role as everything was different – language, look and the dialogue delivery. I even interacted with the women from the red-light area to understand their body language.”

The actress was also required to put on some weight for the part. “My director told me not to work out as I had to look a bit plump. It’s a complete de-glam role.” When asked why she is missing from the Telugu cinema front, she is quick to respond, “It’s not that there are no offers. But after ‘Adavi Kaachina Vennela’, I’ve not been offered interesting roles. “When I return, it should be with a surprise. I am waiting for the right role,” she signs off.
