Story: Mythri is a story of juveniles. After Delhi, Bangalore is the second largest city where exploitation of women and children takes place. Focusing on this dreadful social problem, Giriraj has wrote a wonderful story.
The story is about a young boy (Siddu) who is a die hard fan of Puneeth, but a victim under 18. Siddu stays in a remand room for which Atul Kulkarni is a warden. But, Why is Siddu is put in Juvenile prison? What crime did he commit? All these are interrelated. Siddu who is very intelligent in studies and other activities looses his mother in a fire accident of a chemical factory which is owned by Ravi Kale. What role is Mohanlal playing? How will Siddu reach the hot seat of the reality show, Karunaada Kotiyaadipathi. Will Atul Kulkarni help Siddu to meet Puneeth? Will, Siddu have a better future instead going back to the Juvenile prison? To know the answer for all these question, do watch the movie today.
Performance:
It is for the first time Puneeth Rajkumar is seen as an actor in a movie. The actor play his own character, Powerstar Puneeth Rajkumar as hosting the show Karunada Kotiyadipathi. Mohanlal is at his best in his character, he plays a DRDO engineer/scientist in the movie. Mohanlal and Veda Sastry's pairing up as a couple is feast for the viewers.
Atul Kulkarni is playing a Police Officer, whose acting melts heart of the audience. The characters Johson who play Siddu's friend in remand room needs an appreciation,. Ravi Kale is good at portraying as an corrupted Politician in Mythri.
Bhavana and Sadhu Kokila play a small onscreen space, which can be told as a cameo role.
Music: ‘Guru'of music Ilaiyaraaja has composed pleasant and chartbursting music album which has served as an essential component for the script of Mythri. 'Chandranenu Chanda' song in Kailash Kher's voice very heart-touching.
Technical Aspects:
Mythri is a full package. It has good cinematography and very well written screenplay. The movie gets a ‘thumbs up' for its technical aspects.
Verdict: A Juvenile is not a victim by himself, politicians and political leaders are the real victims. Mythri has been successful to show the cruel reality. Overall, Mythri is a best movie for all Puneeth Rajkumar's fans. Mythri ends with a special and a strong message to society.
