The first official teaser of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's upcoming film, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, has been released to a rousing applause from Bhai's hardcore fans. As usual, the film will release during the Eid festival, Salman's favorite season, in which he scored numerous blockbusters. However, here's an interesting scoop.
Those who have seen the teaser are in for a pleasant surprise when the teaser had striking similarities to Nagarjuna's patriotic period drama, Rajanna. Rajanna was written and directed by Vijayendra Prasad, senior writer and Rajamouli's father. Apparently, Salman was so impressed with Rajanna, that he invited Vijayendra Varma to narrate the story for its Hindi adaptation in early 2014.
Once he was happy with the narration, Salman immediately commenced shooting for the film and in the film's teaser, credit for Original Story and Screenplay was given to Vijayendra Prasad. However, the makers seemed to have made numerous changes in the plot. While in Rajanna, a young girl from Telangana sets out on a journey to New Delhi to meet the President, in Bajrangi Bhaijaan, the plot has a young Pakistani girl seeking Salman's help to fulfill her mission.
The teaser seems to have all the required elements for a blockbuster and we can surely expect several records being broken this June 18th. Rockline Venkatesh, who earlier produced Ravi Teja's Power and Rajinikanth's Lingaa, produced the film along with Salman Khan himself.
