Rumour mills say that "Srimanthudu" is loosely based on Mahesh Babu's brother in law, TDP MP Galla Jayadev's story. After getting educated abroad, Jayadev took over his father's batteries business in AP and then he adopted villages too. Even after becoming an MP, Jayadev is continuing his good work, thereby continuing to inspire millions.
