When it comes to south Indian heroes, the golden rule is that none of them prefer to age gracefully. They believe in playing young roles where they could even go to college and dance around with heroines who are good enough to be their granddaughters.

Well, in a way, that could be both their strength and weakness. The same tradition has been followed for many decades and the scenario continues even now.

So it is not uncommon to see a man well into his 50s playing a bachelor and wooing a young heroine. Or the heroine falls for him and goes about wooing him. And Rajinikanth is one among the heroes who fit this bill.

However, it is now being said that Rajinikanth will now be seen in a role that suits his age finally.

Talk in Tamil industry is that Rajinikanth will now be seen in a role in keeping with his age. Like Amitabh Bachchan who made a painful transition when he realized that it was no longer to play the lover boy, Rajini too is said to be making the much-needed change with Tirupathi.

After the disastrous Linga where he drew flak for trying to play a part which did not suit his age, Rajini is said to have taken this decision.
