Now that Mega Powerstar Ram Charan's next film in the direction of Sreenu Vaitla has been launched officially, an interesting debate about Cherry's selection of his directors has come up. As per the debate, Ram Charan scores a blockbuster hit whenever he worked with a particular director whose last film was a flop.
Barring his first two films, if we notice all the directors of Cherry's subsequent films, they all gave a flop before they teamed up with Ram Charan to give a blockbuster hit. Starting from Sampath Nandi, whose first film Yemaindi Ee Vela gave the remarkable Racha and then VV Vinayak who was going through a rough patch gave Naayak. Cherry then continued his sentiment with Krishna Vamsi and came up with Govindudu Andarivadele, which was an above average grosser.
Finally, Cherry's current director is fresh from the disastrous Aagadu. Made on a lavish budget, the film bombed terribly at the boxoffice and dented Sreenu's position as one of the highly bankable commercial directors. However, not deterred by this flop, Cherry is still putting in huge confidence on the director, who earlier gave a disaster to his dad with Andarivadu.
