On the face of it, the prospect of the venerable Mass Maharaja going on a weight loss spree to shed weight comes with an inherent irony attached. But that's exactly what Ravi Teja has been doing in the last couple of months. He's shed 6 kg to look the part for his upcoming film Kick 2. Ravi Teja is playing a dual role of father and son in the film directed by Surrender Reddy.
"Ravi Teja is presently shooting for the parts where he's playing the son's character. He lost around 6 kilos in a bid to look younger," informs a source close to the actor. (unit)
Shedding the weight didn't come easy for the actor though. "Whether in between breaks or at the end of the day's shoot, Ravi Teja doesn't miss his work out no matter what. Ravi Teja is presently shooting in Hampi for the film and he insisted on having access to a gym," adds the source.
His work-out regimen lasts for two hours everyday. "Ravi Teja has been staying away from oily and calorie-rich food and has six small meals every day. His diet includes dry fruits or wheat flakes with fresh fruit juice, salads, sprouts, soups and veggies for dinner," explains the source.
Looks like the audience will be treated to a much leaner, meaner, Ravi Teja this time around. Who says vanities are just for the ladies? Mana heroes are no less are they.
