Samantha's character got immense adulation from her loyal fans and family audiences. In a recent media interaction following the film's success, Samantha revealed a startling fact.

Samantha revealed that she too had faced diabetic complications at one point of her life, just like the character in the film which suffers from diabetes. The actress even thanked director Trivikram for handling her character quite well. On the other hand, Samantha's revelation made everyone wonder at the actress health which was under scrutiny couple of years ago.

Samantha fell terribly sick two years ago and she was not seen in public for several months. Sam even lost out on several plum offers, including Mani Ratnam's film due to her illness.
