Writer-director Trivikram Srinivas is slowly losing his ground as his latest offering S/o Satyamurthy is too preachy to digest. The Allu Arjun-Samantha starrer has too many lectures aimed at the audience. Naturally, this may not go well with many. Also, the film is loaded with a slew of one-liners in the name of "values". While few are witty others are just forced dialogues that strain your brain.
Especially the examples cited by Rajendra Prasad during crucial portions of the film put you off. Even Allu Arjun is no exception to this at times. Director Trivikram wasted major portion of the film's first half in dealing with characters and it gets slightly better in the second half. There's a bit confusion on who's the main villain either Devaraj (Upendra) or Sampath Raj.
On other hand, S/O Satyamurthy is not a bad film either. But it only fails to meet the expectations of fans. Lack of entertainment quotient and too much melodrama work against the film. Even the songs composed by Devi Sri Prasad were not good either. Since Trivikram is riding high with Attarintiki Daredi success and Allu Arjun is buoyed with Race Gurram success, naturally fans expect much more better film. Nithya Menen, Adah Sharma revs up the glam quotient. The film's ensemble cast is an advantage. And even here Trivikram is not successful in utilising them to the full extent. Actors like Brahmanandam, Ali could have been handled well. On whole, S/O Satyamurthy is an average fare and it needs to be seen how the film works at the Box Office.
