Fact: Teens Have Forgotten Who Chiru Is

10th April, 2015 6:24pm     Tollywood      Comments
This is a heavy statement that might hurt MEGA fans. Not that their matinee idol's image has taken a severe denting post his political juggernaut, fact remains untold and upright that teenagers don't get excited about Chiranjeevi's presence in short cameos on silver screen or at private events. Astonishing reasons are there behind this development.

Megastar Chiranjeevi's dominance over the box office for two decades is written with golden words in history. But that doesn't mean people will receive him with same excitement anytime. Reason is simple. Chiru has exited silver screen in 2007 after his Shankardada Zindabad released. Kids who enjoyed those movies have grown up into adults and they have forgotten Chiru as times flew by. Because there is no movie of Chiranjeevi splashing punches and dancing beats on silver screen. Those grown ups have seen the likes of Pawan, Bunny and Charan while they are maturing their age. Hence they cheer for these actors even if their name is taken in any other movie, but might not welcome Chiru with roars, whistles and claps.

A recent example could be cited with "Rey", where people went shouting after looking at Pawan Kalyan, and hearing about Charan in the movie, but reacting nothing when images of Chiranjeevi from his past flick "Donga"s Golimaar song are shown.

Megastar is heard only in words nowadays from the mouths of people who admire him a lot, but practically he is not seen on screen. If mega fans or mega family heroes want Megastar's image to be upped, then they should make the numero uno star announce his 150th flick without any fail. After all it is 8 years people haven't seen him on screen, and how would they remember him?

The logic applies to everyone. A new generation kid will connect much to Jr NTR but not to Sr NTR for all 'filmy' reasons. At the same time, kids of today love Amitabh Bachhan because he is still doing awesome roles for the screen. Bottom line is that those persons who are not seen on silver screen are forgotten, however big their the then stardom may be.

That's entertainment and public memory is short!!!
