Anushka Sharma is an Indian Actress born on 1 May 1988 in Bangalore, Karnataka.

Anushka was born to Col. Ajay Kumar Sharma and a housewife Ashima Sharma. She had a elder brother Karnesh, who is a state level cricketer and he is in merchant navy. She completed her schooling in Army School and graduated in Mount Carmel College, Bangalore with Arts. Then she moved to Mumbai for modelling.

Anushka first wanted to be a big model. She started her career from Lakme Fashion Week as a model. She was picked to be Rodricks's finale model at spring summer 07 collection. She did some ads for Silk & Shine, Whisper, Nathella Jewelry and Fiat Palio.

She first started her acting career with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi in year 2008. Then she came in film Badmaash Company which was a another hit.

Then she starred in film Band Baaja Baaraat in 10 December, 2010. She began shooting for Patiala House in December 2009 which got released on 11 February, 2011.
