Gabbar Is Back Box Office collection has been good so far. Akshay Kumar's movie became the biggest opener of 2015 thanks to public holiday on May 1st, Labour Day. The movie's opening collection was the biggest this year, Gabbar Is Back grossed over Rs 13 crores on Firday.
Trade expert, Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#GabbarIsBack Fri ₹ 13.05 cr. India biz. HIGHEST OPENER of 2015 so far [Hindi films]." This Tamil remake starring Akshay Kumar in the lead role, marks the second collaboration of Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Sanjay Leela Bhansali along with co-producer Shabinaa Khan.
Saturday being a weekly off as well, saw further rise in occupancy in theaters. Good word of mouth promotions from viewers who watched the movie on Friday helped the Gabbar Is Back to attract more viewers on Saturday.
This means the Saturday Box Office collections will be more, according to predictions the film has garnered over Rs 15 crores on day two, meaning the total Box Office collection at the end of two days is Rs 28 crores. At this rate, first weekend collection of Gabbar Is Back will easy cross Rs 40 crore mark.
