Superstar Rajinikanth's next with Pa Ranjith of ‘Madras’ and ‘Attakathi’ fame will go on to floors in August in Malaysia. Kalaipuli S Dhanu will be producing the movie. For Kalaipuli Dhanu, a noted film producer of Tamil cinema, it is a dream come true to produce a Rajinikanth film. He is credited to have prefixed the "superstar" tag to Rajinikanth when he distributed the actor's first solo hero Tamil movie ‘Bhairavi’ in 1978.

After 60 day schedule in Malaysia, the shooting will move to Thailand, Hong Kong and Chennai. Santosh Narayanan will compose music while Murali G will handle the camera work on the movie. The duo had worked with Ranjith in ‘Madras’. The casting of other stars, including a heroine opposite Rajinikanth, is still in the process.
