In a shocking incident, a 6-month-old infant died of starvation after a contractor refused permission to the mother to feed her baby. The incident occurred in Turkalakhanapur village in Hathnoora mandal of Medak.
According to reports, Malleswari, a daily wager, working in Turkalakhanapur village.
Malleswari had a six-month-old baby boy, who is taken care of by her three-year-old daughter while she was at work. She would go to the hut where her baby is housed and give him milk once or twice.
But, on February 7, the contractor did not allow her to go home and feed her baby. The baby boy, who was very hungry, cried for several hours and the daughter came rushing to the work site to inform her about the baby's condition. But, the contractor refused permission to her to leave the premises.
By evening when Malleswari went home, she found her baby boy dead. The contractor hurriedly buried the boy and sent Malleswari to her native Mahabubnagar.
The Hatnoor police said they have not received any complaint from the mother.
