Fee Reimbursement turns pain to KCR's Government

Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT) in Hyderabad is one the best engineering colleges in the country. Admission into CBIT is pride for the students. Yesterday, CBIT gave notices to the students to pay fees immediately. CBIT also mentioned in the notice that they would not get any amount from Telanagan Government as part of Fee-Reimbursement scheme.

CBIT expressed that its inability to pay salaries to the staff. Not only CBIT, many private engineering colleges are facing the same situation in Telangana. CBIT gave assurance that it will pay back the amount if Government disburses the amount. Telangana Government didn’t pay Fee Reimbursements to the students for academic year 2013-14. It doesn’t frame any guidelines for reimbursement for next educational year 2014-15. CBIT would get 21 crores from Telangana Government.

Telangana Government has to pay dues for an amount of 625 crores to Government Colleges. There are 14 lakh students waiting for government response in fees reimbursement. TRS alternative FAST scheme falls in legal tangle. Government fails to defend the FAST in High Court. Student unions and BC Communities have pressured to pay fee reimbursement immediately on government.
