Hyderabad: In a tragic incident, former MP and renowned architect B N Reddy’s son, B Chandrasekhar Reddy (62) committed suicide by shooting himself at his Banjara Hills residence in Hyderabad on Sunday afternoon. He allegedly pulled the trigger of a licensed revolver after putting it at his head.

Also known as B C Reddy, he was alone in his room at about 12.30 pm when he fired the revolver.

The family members who saw him in a pool of blood rushed him to Apollo Hospital, where he was declared brought dead. Later, his body was shifted to Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem. Family members and relatives of the deceased countered the media persons covering the incident at his residence and at the mortuary.

It is also alleged that some of them also faced verbal abuse for trying to take video without permission.

B C Reddy, who was a businessman, is believed to have resorted to the extreme step due to financial problems. He is survived by two daughters, one of whom got married.
