Police have booked a case aganist the judges Nagendra Babu and Roja apart from the anchor Rashmi of Jabardast, a popular TV comedy show aired on ETV in Lower Manair Dam (LMD) for reportedly insulting a community (Brahmin) and causing enmity between two groups.

The LMD police had registered the case on the directions of the Karimnagar court in Karimnagar.

According to LMD sub-inspector P. Damodar Reddy, the case was booked against the three persons under multiple Sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC) for their alleged role in  hurting the Brahmin community and portraying it in a negative shade in an October 30 episode.

The episode is said to have been retelecast on November 2, 2014.

The petition was filed by Kethireddy Anji Reddy, a farmer of Timmapur mandal headquarters on Friday.
