Union Minister Sujana Choudary said here on Friday that the Centre would release Rs. 2000 Cr with in two weeks as first installment towards funding the capital city of AP.

Addressing a press meet here at the Secretariat ,  he said that irrespective of granting special status to the state, the Central government would help AP through alternate routes.

The Centre will never go back on implementing the provisions of the AP Bifurcation Act. "It will give funds for the construction of High Court, Secretariat, Assembly and other facilities," he said, adding that funds will also be granted by the Centre for the AIIMS, Visakha-Chennai industrial corridor, IIT, IIM, IIIT, Central University, Bible University and some other facilities.
