In the Telangana budget 2015-16, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has announced the increase in pay scales to the employees who would get the new salaries with retrospective effect from June 2, 2014. The increase in pay scales is expected to burden the exchequer by about Rs. 6,500 crore a year.

Recently the Chief Minister increased salaries for Teachers with 43% PRC and on Friday, he increased basic pay of the ZPTC and MPTC with above 60 percent PRC along with increasing pensions, naming it as AASARA.
