Jagan and YSRCP staging a walk out in the Assembly during 'zero hour' to protest the arrest and booking of CPI leaders in Anantpur under non-bailable sections, is indeed interesting.
The TDP in the Assembly has virtually no competition except from YSRCP. With the BJP also being the ally of TDP, Jagan has been fighting a lone battle. However, Congress and CPI have also been actively questioning the governance of the TDP and the injustice meted out to farmers.
Jagan by expressing solidarity with CPI has taken the first step to uniting the Opposition. And if Congress joins in as well, despite their zero presence, it would help strengthen the opposition to Naidu.
Of course, come election time, these parties will go their separate ways but united as an opposition, they can definitely bring pressure on the government.
The impregnable Modi himself was left flustered in Parliament in the wake of a vociferous and united opposition. Jagan by standing up for CPI has also shown another dimension to his personality, that he is capable of reaching out!
