IRCTC New Rule: Book Only One Ticket

IRCTC,Online Booking,Indian Railways,Indian Railways New Rule

In an unexpected move, Indian Railways has imposed a new restriction for the number of train tickets that can be booked online. As per the new rules, all the online users [including IRCTC agents] will be able to reserve only one ticket per one log-in session. Though this might hamper the comfort with which the tickets can be booked, IRCTC has leaned towards this new restrictive rule to combat the black-market.

But, the good news is that the time slot at which the new restriction is applicable will be only for four hours per day. Yes, you heard it right. As per the official confirmation, one ticket per login rule will be applicable only during the peak hours of 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. So, whoever wants to book more tickets for their family trips - they can skip these timings. Anyways, a customer can book as many tickets as he wants at the official IRCTC counters all over the country irrespective of the time restrictions.
