KCR to take a bold decision on Hyderabad?

21st April, 2015 3:05pm     Telangana      Comments

Is Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority's (HMDA) days all set to be numbered? Indications coming from Telangana government reportedly hint that the behemoth urban development authority would be most likely getting scrapped while several of its wings would bemerged with other agencies.

Chief minister KCR unhappy with HMDA

Chief minister KCR seems to be very much unhappy with HMDA 's way of functioning and he had reportedly expressed his displeasure openly regarding state of affairs during many review meetings and is also of the view that this authority has no relevance any more.

HMDA's revenue is reportedly about Rs 15 crore each month, which comes mainly from rents of commercial complexes, it reportedly spends Rs 3 crore towards its employees' salaries. Even though earlier chief ministers of  United AP were also reportedly unhappy with the performance of the authority , especially corruption, they halted new projects but couldn’t take any bold step.
