The CBI on Friday conveyed its willingness to the Supreme Court to investigate a complaint filed by an MBA student at Sonepat-based O.P. Jindal Global University, alleging she was raped and blackmailed by three seniors and the Haryana police probe is biased in favour of the accused persons.
A vacation Bench headed by Justice A.K. Sikri recorded the premier agency’s submission and gave the

Status report
Posting the case for June 4, the Bench took on record a status report filed by the

Appearing for the student, senior advocate Indira Jaising had contended that though the FIR was registered on April 11, none of the relevant provisions of the

Intimidation
Senior counsel claimed her client had suffered online blackmail, criminal intimidation and rape at the hands of her seniors, who have been arrested, over a period of time.
She claimed one of the accused first befriended her in the campus and then made her send her explicit pictures on the mobile phone. Afterwards, he exploited her and allowed his friends also to join him.
Ms. Jaising further accused the police of having behaved in an insensitive manner to the victim, asking her probing questions immaterial to the investigation.
