A young bride, Sangeeta, who was abandoned by the groom for more dowry is now struggling for life in a hospital in Vizag, after attempting suicide. She was engaged to one Ravi Prasad, but later rejected the marriage demanding additional dowry. Her father died of shock. The suicide attempt was spurred by the fact that Ravi Prasad is about to marry another girl from Srikakulam on Saturday. Women organisations are clamouring for justice.
