As expected the ruling party, TRS, emerged victorious in the MLC polls that took place until 4 pm today. All the five TRS candidates won the polls, while Congress one and the TDP-BJP alliance bit the dust. With this victory, TRS party's vow to make TDP lose its shine in the region has become a reality to a great extent.

This morning, the polling took place at the assembly where 118 out of 120 legislatives utilized their vote to elect the legislative council members for the 6 available MLC posts for which 7 candidates were in the fray. The seventh candidate was KCR's last minute decision that made the contest inevitable.

It is well known that KCR decided to contest for the 5th post since the BJP decided to join hands with TDP and fielded a TDP candidate. From TRS, Neti Vidyasagar, Bodakunta Venkateswarlu, Deputy CM Kadiyam Srihari, Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao and Yadava Reddy won the contest while Congress' Akula Lalitha won her candidature.

Interestingly, 6 (None Of The Above) NOTA votes have been polled from the TDP party members out of their 15 available, which are being considered decisive in the end result.
