Chandrababu,Chandrababu Audiotape,Dubsmash,AP CM Chandrababu Naidu,Telangana nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson
The audiotape of the purported conversation between AP CM Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson has not just opened a can of worm between TDP and TRS but it became huge hit on social media. The audio of the tape is now being used by some people to create Dubsmash video, a messaging app allowing users to record a video of themselves in which they can sync their lips for an audio recording of a popular quote or song.
"Manavallu briefed me everything" (Our people briefed me everything), allegedly mouthed by Mr Naidu while his conversation with the nominated MLA Stephenson, became the catchy phrase. In addition, the reaction of Telangana IT Minister and son of CM KCR, KT Rama Rao, on the alleged voice of Chandrababu in the leaked audio tape further popularised the dialogue. Many have started recording video of their own against the audio of the alleged audiotape of Mr Naidu and Stephenson.
This is not all. This has hit social networking site Facebook as well. Facebook pages were started with the title "Manavallu briefed me everything". Meanwhile, another FB page titled "Political Punches" has went a step ahead and remixed a ringtone with the phrase - Manavallu briefed me everything. On other hand, spoofs of the tape have surfaced on WhatsApp, cross-platform mobile-messaging app.
Telugu Desam Party, which is active on social media, is trying its best to counter the campaign and even contemplating to lodge cases against people behind the campaign.
