Hyderabad: Excise Department officials conducted a special drive in Dhoolpet and other areas in the city on Monday and seized 200 litres of ID liquor and 3,825 sachets, worth Rs 3 lakh. Acting on the government instructions, the officials prepared a day-wise action plan and acted accordingly.

The team was led by M M A Faruqui, Deputy Commissioner of Prohibition and Excise, Hyderabad conducted theraid in areas like Pahad, Sibli Hills, Gangabowli, Chunnekibhatti, Padthiwada, Laldarwaza, Upper Dhoolpet, Golconda and Ameerpet. They booked 11 cases  and arrested seven persons. They also seized 25 kg of black jaggery and destroyed molasses  of 12,500 litres.
