The governments of the two Telugu states are desperately trying to invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi to throw open the Godavari Pushkaralu on July 14.

The competition between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana governments to invite the PM for the Pushkaralu has literally put the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) in a fix.

Till date, the PMO has not confirmed Modi's participation in the important event neither in Telangana nor in Andhra Pradesh, according to sources.  Meanwhile, Telangan's Endowments Minister A. Indrakaran Reddy said, “We are inviting both the PM and the President of India for the Pushkaralu."
