Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh is likely to make a statement in the Parliament on the issue of Dawood Ibrahim days after the Minister of State for Home Haribhai Parathibhai Chaudhary said that whereabouts of the underworld don are not known.

Chaudhary, in a written reply in Lok Sabha on May 5, had said that the extradition of Dawood would be initiated once his location is known.

"The subject (Dawood) has not been located so far. Extradition process with regard to Dawood Ibrahim would be initiated once the subject is located," he had said.

The statement from the Chaudhary stirred controversy with Opposition targeting the government.
