AP government is likely to present its budget on March 12. Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu will present the Budget on March 12. Minister for agriculture prattipati Pulla Rao would be presenting the Agriculture Budget on March 13.

Governor EL Narasimhan addressed the members of AP Assembly and Council on March 7.

According to sources, AP finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu has directed all departments to review their current schemes and submit a report so that the allocation of funds can be done in a rational manner.

With the revenue deficit of Rs 20,000 crore and revenue collections dwindling in almost all the sectors, AP government would have tough time in getting revenue from different sources.

With state’s efforts to mobilise revenue from various other sources failed, the AP government is left with only option of seeking Central funds under different heads to improve its financial situation.

The Andhra Pradesh budget sessions commenced from March 7 and will conclude on March 27.
